Florida State 69, Boston College 66:
Michael Snaer scored 21 points as the host Seminoles edged the Eagles to snap a two-game ACC losing streak.

Snaer added six rebounds and made all four of his free throws while Okaro White chipped in 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds for Florida State (14-11, 6-6), which shot 53.8 percent from beyond the arc. Freshman Devon Bookert logged a career-high eight assists.

Freshman Olivier Hanlan led Boston College (11-14, 3-9) with 19 points. Ryan Anderson added 10 points and a game-high 11 rebounds, but missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer at the final buzzer.

After Florida State ran out to a 15-12 lead, back-to-back Snaer buckets sparked a 9-0 Seminoles run that pushed the advantage to 24-12 with 6:11 left in the first half. Boston College responded with 10 straight points, ultimately cutting its deficit to 31-26 at halftime.

A Patrick Heckmann 3-pointer gave Boston College a 45-42 edge with 13:11 left before five Florida State players scored on a 12-2 response to put the Seminoles ahead 54-47 with 8:06 to go. The Eagles cut their deficit to two three times, but Snaer, Bookert and Terry Whisnant II went 5-for-6 from the foul line in the final 2:04 to seal the win.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Florida State has now won four of the last five meetings in the head-to-head matchup. … The Seminoles improve to 6-1 in games decided by five points or fewer this season. … Heckmann finished with 10 points on 4-for-6 shooting.
