Pierria Henry scored 17 points to lead four players in double figures as the 49ers upset of the host Bulldogs.

Willie Clayton scored 11 points, Chris Braswell had 11 off the bench and Darion Clark chipped in with 10 points and nine rebounds to help Charlotte (18-6, 6-4 Atlantic 10) snap a two-game losing streak. Henry made a free throw for a 69-67 lead with 6 seconds left and E. Victor Nickerson made two free throws to seal it with less than a second remaining.

Butler (20-5, 7-3) had its three-game win streak snapped and fell to 12-1 at home. Rotnei Clarke, who was held to three points in the first half, finished with a game-high 18 and his fifth 3-pointer cut the score to 68-67 with 8 seconds left.

Butler’s Roosevelt Jones had 17 points and nine rebounds, while Erik Fromm had 13 points, tying his career high with three 3-pointers, and nine rebounds for the Bulldogs. Kellen Dunham chipped in with 12 points for Butler.

Charlotte, which led by as many as seven points in the first half, got six points apiece from Henry and Braswell for a 29-27 halftime lead. Butler was led by Jones’ nine points and five rebounds before intermission.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Charlotte shot 26-for-48 from the field and 17-for-29 from the foul line. … Butler shot 23-for-59 from the field and 10-for-29 from 3-point range. … Butler played without senior C Andrew Smith (abdominal injury), while Charlotte played without senior F JT Thompson (torn ACL) and junior G DeMario Mayfield (suspended).
