California 77, No. 7 Arizona 69: Allen Crabbe scored 31 points, including four 3-pointers, and the Bears upset the Wildcats for their first win at the McKale Center since 2009.

Crabbe was 12-of-15 shooting and had seven rebounds and five assists for California (14-9, 6-5 Pac-12), which shot 58.8 percent and made 11 of its 12 shots from the foul line. Justin Cobbs added 21 points, including seven of the Bears' final nine points.

Arizona (20-3, 8-3) cut the lead to 71-69 on Mark Lyons’ 3-pointer with 2:05 left, but the Bears responded with six unanswered points to snap the Wildcats' four-game winning streak. Lyons finished with 16 points and Solomon Hill added 13.

California led 50-40 with 15:37 to play after Crabbe scored nine points during a 15-0 run, but Arizona answered with an 8-2 run and the game remained close throughout the second half. The loss was Arizona’s second in 13 home games.

Crabbe was the difference maker, but Arizona also missed eight of its 24 attempts from the foul line. Brandon Ashley had 12 points and nine rebounds for the Wildcats, who shot 39.3 percent from the field.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The victory moved California’s Mike Montgomery into a tie as the fourth winningest coach in Pac-12 history with 266 league wins. … California won for the second time in 16 games at the McKale Center since 1995-96. ...Crabbe recorded the second 30-point game of his career and fell two points short of his career high, set earlier this season against Pepperdine.
