Tennessee 66, South Carolina 61: Jordan McRae and Skylar McBee made 3-pointers in the last 3:30 to lift the visiting Volunteers to their first true road win of the season and their 12th straight against the Gamecocks.

Jarnell Stokes registered his fifth consecutive double-double with a game-high 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead Tennessee (12-10, 4-6 SEC). Trae Golden added 16 points in his return from a strained hamstring, which kept him sidelined for two games.

Freshman Michael Carrera tallied 18 points and 11 rebounds for South Carolina (12-11, 2-8). Brian Richardson added 17 points for the Gamecocks, who lost their fourth straight game.

Neither team led by more than three points until six straight Tennessee points gave the Volunteers a 28-21 lead with 3:52 left in the first half. An Eric Smith 3-pointer helped cut the Gamecocks’ deficit to 32-29 at the break before the two teams continued to go back-and-forth until a Stokes free throw tied the game at 55 with 4:09 left.

After two Damien Leonard free throws gave South Carolina a 57-55 lead with 3:46 left, McRae made his 3-pointer 16 seconds later and McBee hit his with less than two minutes left to push the Tennessee lead to 61-57. Golden and McRae made two free throws apiece in the final 46.8 seconds to seal the Volunteers' win.

GAME NOTEBOOK: McRae entered the game averaging a team-high 14 points per game. He finished with seven points on 1-of-7 shooting. … Stokes now has nine double-doubles this season. Carrera has four. … South Carolina has now lost six of its last seven games.
