Sophomore guard Shane Larkin had 18 points and a career-high nine assists as the host Hurricanes tied the school record with 15 3-pointers while remaining undefeated in ACC play.

Senior forward Kenny Kadji and guard Durand Scott each scored 17 points and Rion Brown added with 11 for Miami (19-3, 10-0), which won its 11th straight game and swept the season series from the Tar Heels for the first time since joining the ACC in the 2004-05 season.

Reggie Bullock scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds while P.J. Hairston (11) and Leslie McDonald (10) also scored in double figures for North Carolina (16-7, 6-4), which shot 38.5 percent from the floor and had its three-game winning streak snapped.

Miami dominated this one from the start, jumping out to a 9-0 lead in the first two minutes and 13-2 on a Brown jumper at the 13:45 mark. North Carolina closed to within 22-15 on a Bullock 3-pointer, but the hot-shooting Hurricanes closed the half with a 22-12 run that featured six 3-pointers, taking a 44-27 lead into the locker room.

Miami then blew the game open with a 15-6 run to start the second half to increase its lead to 26 points, 59-33, with 15:09 to go. The Tar Heels never got closer than 19 the rest of the way.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Hurricanes also had 15 3-pointers in games against Georgetown (1993) and South Carolina State (2010). .. Miami's previous season-high for 3-pointers in a game was 11 against Boston College on Feb. 5. The Hurricanes surpassed that mark on a Kadji 3-pointer with 17:06 remaining. ... Miami improved to 11-0 at the BankUnited Center this season.
