When: 12:00 PM ET, Saturday, February 9, 2013
Where: Kohl Center, Madison, Wisconsin
Officials: # Eric Curry, # Michael Kitts, # Gene Steratore

Wisconsin 65, No. 3 Michigan 62 (OT): Ben Brust drained a desperation 3-pointer from near halfcourt to send the game into overtime and hit the go-ahead 3-pointer with 39.6 seconds remaining in the extra period as the host Badgers downed the Wolverines.

Brust scored a team-high 14 points, Jared Berggren added 13 points and eight rebounds and Ryan Evans tallied 11 points and nine rebounds for Wisconsin (17-7, 8-3 Big Ten), which improved to 10-0 at home against Michigan under coach Bo Ryan.

Tim Hardaway Jr. appeared to hit the game-winning 3-pointer for Michigan (21-3, 8-3) with 2.4 seconds left in regulation to give the Wolverines a 60-57 lead, but Brust’s 40-foot fadeaway runner as time expired forced overtime.

With 1:04 left, Brust knocked the ball off Michigan freshman Nik Stauskas following a rebound before hitting the decisive 3-pointer. Michigan’s Trey Burke managed to get a good look at a game-tying 3-pointer with five seconds left from the top of the key, but the shot rimmed out.

Burke scored a game-high 19 points and Hardaway had 18 to pace the Wolverines.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Many believed Hardaway committed his fifth foul with 13 seconds left in overtime and inexplicably stayed in the game, but an earlier foul was switched to Glenn Robinson III. … Wisconsin notched its sixth win in seven home games against top-five opponents. … Michigan F Jordan Morgan missed his second game with the right ankle sprain that has bothered him since he originally suffered the injury five games ago.
