Stanford 83, Oregon State 71: Chasson Randle scored 20 points, including four 3-pointers, and the Cardinal took control late against the visiting Beavers.

Ahmad Starks hit a 3-pointer after Stanford made two straight from beyond the arc and Oregon State led 66-65 with 4:39 to play. Stanford’s Dwight Powell responded with back-to-back 3-pointers and the Cardinal never trailed again.

Josh Huestis had 16 points and 13 rebounds and Powell scored 14 points for Stanford (14-8, 5-4 Pac-12), which won its third straight and improved to 10-2 at home. John Gage added 12 off the bench.

The Beavers (11-11, 1-8), whose previous three losses came by a combined seven points, were led by Roberto Nelson’s 20 points. Joe Burton recorded his third double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds and Starks had 15 points.

Nelson cut Stanford’s lead to 75-71 with 38 seconds left, but the Cardinal made six straight free throws to seal the victory. The win completed a sweep of the Oregon schools after Stanford stunned the 12th-ranked Ducks 76-52 on Wednesday.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Oregon State F Eric Moreland’s three blocked shots gave him the single-season record for the most blocks by a sophomore in school history at 46. … The Beavers shot 49.2 percent from the field and outrebounded Stanford by 10. .. Both teams shot extremely well from 3-point range, with Stanford finishing 14-of-25 from beyond the arc and Oregon State making five of its nine shots.
