Connecticut 69, South Florida 64 (OT): Shabazz Napier scored 24 points and hit three 3-pointers in overtime as the host Huskies held off the Bulls.

Napier missed a potential game-winning 3-pointer from the top of the key at the end of regulation but atoned for that miss by hitting his first 3-pointer of overtime 34 seconds into the extra period. After Toarlyn Fitzpatrick missed a 3-pointer, Napier hit another shot from behind the arc with 3:37 to play and sank his third 3-pointer 1:58 later for a 61-54 edge.

Ryan Boatright added 17 for Connecticut (15-5, 5-3 Big East), which overcame a 12-point halftime deficit and shot 29.8 percent in its largest comeback victory of the season.

Fitzpatrick led South Florida (10-11, 1-8) with a season-high 22 points and 10 rebounds. Victor Rudd added 12 points for the Bulls, who shot 34.9 percent.

The game featured nine lead changes and 11 ties. In the first half, South Florida held Napier to four points and the Huskies to 18.5 percent shooting, building a 27-15 lead at intermission. After Connecticut scored the first 10 points of the second half, it could not expand the lead and took a 52-50 edge on a free throw by Boatright with 26 seconds left. Anthony Collins drove past Boatright and DeAndre Daniels and hit a layup with 12 seconds to play.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Fitzpatrick had a season-high five 3-pointers and came within three points of his career high set Dec. 11, 2011, against Florida A.&M ... The Huskies have won 10 of 11 meetings with the Bulls. ... Connecticut F Tyler Olander started despite battling the flu and had four points and five rebounds in 32 minutes.
