Will Spradling scored 12 points and the visiting Wildcats completed a season sweep of the Sooners after Sam Grooms missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

After Grooms scored five straight points to tie the game at 50 with 13 seconds left, Angel Rodriguez made two free throws before Grooms’ shot from 23 feet away missed the mark. Martavious Irving added 10 points for Kansas State (17-4, 6-2 Big 12).

Romero Osby had 13 points and seven rebounds for Oklahoma (14-6, 5-3), which lost to the Wildcats 69-60 on Jan. 19. The Sooners shot 38.8 percent and missed 11 of their 14 shots from 3-point range.

After neither team led by more than five points in the first half, Kansas State used an 11-4 run to pull ahead by eight with 5:25 remaining. The Wildcats, who shot 37.5 percent, improved to 15-0 when leading with five minutes to play.

Oklahoma went scoreless for nearly 11 minutes spanning halftime before Osby hit a jumper with 15:43 left in the second half. The Sooners were 9-of-14 from the free-throw line, while Kansas State made five of its seven shots.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Both teams entered the game in a tie for second place in the Big 12 along with Baylor. The Wildcats' win moves them into a tie for first with Kansas, which lost 85-80 to Oklahoma State on Saturday … Kansas State improved to 15-1 this season when leading at the half. … The Wildcats swept the season series for the first time since 1993.
