Kyle Wiltjer scored a career-high 26 points and Nerlens Noel set a school record with 12 blocks as the visiting Wildcats handed Ole Miss its first loss in SEC play.

Archie Goodwin contributed 24 points, Alex Poythress bounced back from early foul trouble to score 12 of his 15 points in the second half and Ryan Harrow finished with 13 points for Kentucky (14-6, 5-2 SEC).

LaDarius White scored a season-high 22 points, Marshall Henderson had 21 and Murphy Holloway and Jarvis Summers contributed 10 apiece for the Rebels (17-3, 6-1), who had their nine-game winning streak snapped.

Ole Miss led 38-37 at the half despite shooting 29.5 percent from the floor. The Rebels benefited from 12 offensive rebounds and eight turnovers by Kentucky while Wiltjer scored 17 points in the opening 20 minutes.

The Wildcats scored the first six points of the second half to take the lead for good. Poythress’s layup sparked an 18-6 run that stretched the advantage to 73-56 with 10:13 remaining. Ole Miss came back with 16 straight points to cut the deficit to one, but the comeback stopped there as the Wildcats scored the next seven.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Noel, who has 45 blocks in the last six games, surpassed the school record of nine held by Sam Bowie and Andre Riddick. … The Rebels were 13-for-20 from the free-throw line, putting them at 33-for-70 (47.1 percent) over the last three games. … Ole Miss senior forward Reginald Buckner, who came in averaging 9.9 points and 7.9 rebounds, picked up his third foul with 10:34 remaining in the first half before finishing with five points and nine rebounds.
