Clemson 77, Virginia Tech 70:
Milton Jennings and Damarcus Harrison notched career highs in scoring, combining for 47 points as the host Tigers withstood the Hokies.

Jennings had 28 points – 16 on free throws – and grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds. Harrison contributed 19 points as the Tigers (11-8, 3-4 ACC) halted a two-game losing streak.

The Hokies (11-8, 2-4) lost their second straight and have dropped six of their past nine. Erick Green, the nation's top scorer, tallied 25 points and five assists while Jarell Eddie finished with 19 points.

Clemson threatened to run away early, jumping out to a 12-0 lead and holding the Hokies scoreless until the 13:22 mark of the first half. Virginia Tech rallied, making seven of its final 12 shots of the half to forge a 33-33 tie the break.

The lead changed hands six times in the second half, and the margin remained within two possessions for the majority of the game. Harrison finally gave Clemson some breathing room late, sinking a 3-pointer with 2:49 to go that staked the Tigers to a 64-60 lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Clemson coach Brad Brownell was whistled for a technical foul with 10:13 to go in the second half. It was the first technical of his head coaching career, according to Clemson's sports information department. ... The Tigers won despite an off day from Devin Booker. Clemson's leading scorer and rebounder was battling an illness, and had three points without making a field goal. Booker did collect 10 rebounds. ... Virginia Tech has lost seven of 10 games against Clemson at Littlejohn Coliseum.
