St. John's 71, Seton Hall 67: D'Angelo Harrison recorded 24 points and seven rebounds as the Red Storm used a 24-4 run to edge the visiting Pirates at Madison Square Garden for their fourth straight win.

Freshman JaKarr Sampson added 19 points for St. John's (13-7, 5-3 Big East), while Phil Greene IV chipped in with 10. After the Red Storm lead ballooned as high as 16 midway through the second half, Seton Hall (13-7, 2-5) rallied to pull within one with 4:22 left. Harrison scored nine points in those final moments.

Eugene Teague led Seton Hall with a career-high 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting. Fuquan Edwin added 14 points and nine rebounds for the Pirates.

St. John's closed the opening period on an 11-2 run, capped by a Harrison 3-pointer at the buzzer, to take a 38-33 lead into intermission.The Red Storm opened the second half scoring 13 of the first 15 points to push the cushion to 51-35 with 15:30 remaining.

An Aaron Cosby 3-pointer keyed a 9-0 Seton Hall run as the Pirates cut their deficit to 60-59 with 4:22 left. Cosby and Edwin both had chances to give Seton Hall the lead before Harrison made a pair of jumpers and went 4-for-4 from the foul line in the final 25 seconds.
