Oklahoma State 80, West Virginia 66: Freshman Phil Forte had a career-high 26 points off the bench as the host Cowboys ran away from the Mountaineers.
Forte matched his career high with six 3-pointers, including three that sparked the Cowboys (13-5, 3-3 Big 12) late in the first half. Markel Brown added 24 points and Marcus Smart had 13 points and three steals.
Eron Harris led the Mountaineers (9-10, 2-4) with 17 points and Deniz Kilicli had 12 before fouling out with 6:35 left.
West Virginia outscored the Cowboys 13-2 during a 7:26 stretch, capped by Kilicli's layup for a 24-11 lead with 5:29 left in the first half. Forte hit three 3-pointers as Oklahoma State turned things around with a 19-3 run on the way to a 30-27 halftime lead.
Forte and Brown hit back-to-back 3-pointers for a 46-36 lead with 12:54 left in the game and the Cowboys pushed the advantage to as many as 19.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Harris scored in double figures for the fourth straight game. ... Oklahoma State improved to 10-1 at home. ... The Cowboys shot 52.6 percent from the 3-point line, led by Brown (4-of-6) and Forte (6-of-11).
