No. 25 San Diego State 78, Nevada 57: Chase Tapley scored 17 points and Jamaal Franklin added 14 points and seven rebounds as the visiting Aztecs dominated the Wolf Pack in the second half.

After shooting 35.6 percent in its last three games, San Diego State (15-4, 3-2 Mountain West) shot 54.4 percent against the Wolf Pack and ended the game on a 34-13 run.

Malik Story scored 17 points and Jerry Evans Jr. had 14 points and seven rebounds for Nevada (10-8, 1-3), which has lost four of its last five games. The Wolf Pack were outrebounded 38-29 and shot 23.8 percent (5-of-21) from 3-point range.

Nevada’s Devonte Elliott tied the game at 44 with 14:58 remaining, but San Diego State quickly took control and led by 16 after Tapley hit a 3-pointer with 7:13 to play.

San Diego State, which scored nine first-half points in its 58-45 loss to Wyoming on Saturday, outscored the Wolf Pack 39-19 in the second half. Aztecs guard JJ O’Brien chipped in 12 points.
