Vanderbilt 73, Auburn 61: Kedren Johnson led four Commodores in double figures with 15 points as host Vanderbilt downed the Tigers.

Johnson also pulled down a team-high seven boards for the Commodores. Vanderbilt (8-9, 2-3 SEC) also received 14 points from Kyle Fuller. Kevin Bright finished with 12, all of them coming off 3-pointers and Sheldon Jeter came off the bench to record 10 points.

Auburn (8-10, 2-3), which lost its third straight after two wins to start SEC play, received a big night from big man Rob Chubb, who recorded a team-high eight boards to go along with his 14 points. Fellow senior Frankie Sullivan also finished with 14. Brian Greene Jr. had 11 off 4-for-6 shooting.

Auburn led 17-15 with 9:12 to play in the first half, but Vanderbilt responded by grabbing a 34-27 lead by the break. An 8-0 run in the second half allowed the Commodores to extend their lead to 13 with just over 13 minutes to play.

The Tigers shot just nine free throws, compared to Vanderbilt's 30 attempts, of which the Commodores made 24.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Commodores extended their second-longest streak of making a 3-pointer in each game to 849, shooting 9-for-24 from deep. … Dai-Jon Parker started his third straight game for the Commodores, but only recorded six points. He scored a combined 27 in his first two career starts. … Vanderbilt has won the past seven games in the series, which the Commodores lead 83-51.
