: Cashmere Wright had 20 points and seven assists before hurting his right knee and the Bearcats survived a furious rally by the host Blue Demons.

Cincinnati (15-3, 3-2 Big East) shot a season-high 59.5 percent (25-for-42) in improving to 7-0 on the road this season, but nearly lost all of its 14-point lead in the second half after Wright was injured with 15:12 left. Sean Kilpatrick scored 18 points and JaQuon Parker had 12 for the Bearcats.

Cleveland Melvin led DePaul (10-7, 1-3) with a career-high 32 points, including 10 in the final 2:09. Brandon Young added 18 points as the Blue Demons suffered their fourth loss in five games.

DePaul scored the first nine points, but Cincinnati rallied to take a 41-38 lead at the break and then opened the second half on a 10-0 run. The Bearcats opened up their largest lead at 61-47 on a Kilpatrick layup with 11:44 to go.

However, Cincinnati would not make another basket for nearly eight minutes and Melvin's 3-pointer with 1:35 left cut the Blue Demons' deficit to eight points. Melvin later scored four points in a span of six seconds to make it 73-70 with seven second remaining, but Kilpatrick sealed it with two free throws.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Since a season-low five points against Notre Dame on Jan. 7, Wright has scored 43 points in two games. He was walking under his own power near the Bearcats bench near the end of the game. ... The Bearcats committed 19 turnovers - nine more than DePaul - but made 13 more free throws than the Blue Demons. ... Melvin shot 14-of-20 from the floor and had a team-high eight rebounds.
