Jamaal Franklin scored 18 of his 23 points in the first half and Xavier Thames added 14 points for San Diego State (14-2, 2-0 Mountain West), which blew an 18-point halftime lead before controlling the overtime.

Ten of San Diego State’s 13 first-half baskets were 3-pointers. Franklin hit four and Thames hit three as the Aztecs built a 41-23 halftime lead. Colorado State began the second half with a 12-2 run and whittled its way back into the game, finally catching the Aztecs at 61-61 on Eikmeier’s jumper with 1:42 remaining.
