Arizona State 72, Oregon State 62: Freshman Jahii Carson scored 20 points and Carrick Felix had 18 points and 14 rebounds as the visiting Sun Devils upended the Beavers in Pac-12 play.

Jonathan Gilling had 14 points and Jordan Bachynski had 10 points, nine rebounds and four blocked shots as Arizona State (14-2, 3-0 Pac-12) continued its strong start in conference play.

Devon Collier had 18 points and eight rebounds and Ahmad Starks tallied 10 points for Oregon State (10-5, 0-2), which has lost three of its last four games.

The Sun Devils held a six-point halftime and boosted the lead to 52-37 on Gilling’s basket with 14:18 remaining. The Beavers put on a spirited charge to cut their deficit to 55-51 on a jumper by Starks with 6:59 to play.

Oregon State again trailed by four after two free throws by Collier with 4:25 remaining but Carson’s layup began an 11-2 run. A three-point play by Bachynski made it 70-57 with 46 seconds left.
