No. 2 Michigan 95, Iowa 67: Freshman Glenn Robinson III had his first double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds as the host Wolverines overcame a slow start to crush the Hawkeyes.

Trey Burke had 19 points and 12 rebounds and Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 19 points for Michigan (15-0, 2-0 Big Ten), which trails only the 1985-86 team that won its first 16 games for the best start in school history.

Roy Devyn Marble scored 14 points and Anthony Clemmons added 12 for overmatched Iowa (11-4, 0-2), which bolted to an early 7-0 lead but couldn't match the furious pace in falling to the Wolverines for the sixth time in seven meetings.

Michigan trailed by four points with 6 1/2 minutes left in the first half but turned on the jets, scoring 27 points over the final 5:50 and closing the half on an 8-0 run to take a 46-35 lead into the break. The Wolverines shot 59.3 percent (16 of 27) in the opening 20 minutes and 58.1 percent overall.

The torrid shooting continued at the outset of the second half as Michigan hit five of its first six shots - including a pair of 3-pointers by Hardaway - to build the lead to 58-40 before four minutes had elapsed. The lead peaked at 35 points as the Wolverines registered their eighth victory by at least 28 points.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Freshman F Mitch McGary had five points, three blocks and a career high-tying 11 rebounds to help the Wolverines dominate the backboards 37-26. ... Iowa F Aaron White, who is second on the team in scoring and rebounding, had four points in the first two minutes but finished with only six points and two boards. ... Michigan leading scorer Burke posted his third double-double of the season. He's the only player on the team to score in double figures in every game.
