No. 10 Gonzaga 69, No. 21 Oklahoma State 68: Kevin Pangos scored 23 points and Kelly Olynyk had 21 – all in the second half – as the visiting Bulldogs edged the Cowboys.

Gary Bell, Jr. drained a wide-open 3-pointer off a pass from Pangos to give Gonzaga (13-1) a 67-65 lead with 35.7 seconds left. After Marcus Smart missed a pair of free throws for the Cowboys with 8.7 seconds remaining, Pangos sealed the win with two from the charity stripe.

Smart finished with a career-high 23 points and six assists for Oklahoma State (10-2), which had its five-game win streak snapped. Markel Brown added 16 points and Phil Forte had 15, including a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Olynyk, who did not attempt a shot in the first half, also had nine rebounds in Gonzaga’s fourth consecutive victory. The 7-foot junior scored two straight baskets to put Gonzaga up 64-63 before Smart’s basket with 1:03 remaining gave the Cowboys their last lead.

Pangos scored 18 points in the first half to help Gonzaga lead by as much as 11. The Cowboys fought back with a 13-2 run to take the lead before the Bulldogs edged in front 32-31 at intermission.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Gonzaga has won all five games in the series. … Oklahoma State lost for just the fifth time in its last 185 non-conference home games. … Both teams’ leading scorers had off nights. Gonzaga’s Elias Harris was 2-of-9 from the field for seven points and Oklahoma State’s Le’Bryan Nash was 4-of-13 for nine points.
