Texas Christian 67, Mississippi Valley State 64:
Kyan Anderson scored 16 points and Connell Crossland converted a rebound basket with 29 seconds remaining to snap a tie and give the Horned Frogs a home win over the winless Delta Devils.

Crossland, who scored nine points, scored after an offensive rebound to give TCU (9-4) a 64-62 lead - one the Horned Frogs would not relinquish. After two timeouts, Mississippi Valley State (0-10) turned the ball over and Garlon Green made a pair of free throws to give TCU a 66-62 cushion with 10 seconds left.

Green added 16 points and Adrick McKinney tallied 13 and grabbed nine rebounds as the Horned Frogs avoided the upset. TCU built an 11-point first half lead before a late run pulled the Delta Devils to within 37-33 at halftime.

Mississippi Valley State took its only lead of the game at 62-60 with 2:30 remaining on a layup by Darryl Marshall before TCU's pivotal 6-0 run gave the Horned Frogs their first three-game winning streak of the season.

Matt Smith had 17 points and nine rebounds to lead the Delta Devils, who remain one of four winless teams in Division I.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Both teams struggled from the free throw line; TCU was 12-for-23 for 52.2 percent and Mississippi Valley State was 4-for-10 for just 40 percent. ... TCU opens its first Big 12 schedule on Jan. 5 when the Horned Frogs host former Southwest Conference rival Texas Tech. ... Mississippi Valley State leading scorer Davon Usher, who came in averaging 17.1 points, was held to just six on 3-for-10 shooting.
