Steven Pledger scored a game-high 18 points and grabbed six rebounds as the host Sooners used a 15-2 run midway through the second half to pull away from the Bobcats.

Amath M'Baye recorded 16 points on 6 of 8 shooting and six rebounds while Romero Osby added 16 and five for Oklahoma (8-3), which assisted on 14 of its 27 baskets and forced 18 turnovers.

D.J. Cooper led Ohio (8-5) with 14 points and seven assists, Reggie Keely had 13 points and a game-high eight rebounds and Walter Offutt chipped in 11 points.

After entering halftime tied 29-29, a Buddy Hield 3-pointer sparked a 9-0 Oklahoma run to give the Sooners a 41-32 lead with 14:57 left. After an Offutt 3-pointer cut the Ohio deficit to 47-43 3:20 later, Pledger answered with a deep ball as Oklahoma scored seven straight points.

Four Cooper points and a Jon Smith dunk pulled the Bobcats within 56-52 with 7:10 left before back-to-back Cameron Clark dunks started the decisive run. Pledger made a 3-pointer and a jumper as the Sooners lead ballooned to 71-54 with 2:59 left on an Osby layup.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Oklahoma has won 37 of its last 38 and 95 of its last 98 home non-conference games. ... Ohio fell to 0-4 on the road this year. The Bobcats are 8-1 at home. ... Hield finished with five points and a team-high seven assists for Oklahoma.
