Andre Roberson had 14 points and 14 rebounds - securing his sixth double-double in the first half - and the host Buffaloes registered the game's first 11 points en route to a one-sided victory.

Freshman Josh Scott scored 12 of his career-high 21 points in the first half and added 10 rebounds for Colorado (10-2), which outscored the Hawks 28-0 in the paint and outrebounded them 28-6 prior to the break. Hartford was 7-for-13 from 3-point range and 0-for-14 from inside the arc in the first half while the Buffaloes shot 60 percent.

Scott's jumper gave Colorado a 20-point advantage 8:56 left in the first half en route to a 45-21 lead at intermission. Roberson, who entered the game fourth in the country with 11.9 rebounds, had eight in the first 9:09 before Hartford grabbed its first board with 8:39 remaining in the half.

Evan Cooper scored 14 points for the Hawks (7-6), who had their two-game winning streak snapped while losing the battle of the boards 49-19. Hartford shot 34.5 percent from the field - 43.3 percent from 3-point range and 24 percent inside the arc.

Hartford's first two-point basket and points in the paint came from Jamie Schneck 39 seconds into the second half during a 11-2 run by Colorado which made it 56-23 with 16:49 left. Askia Booker finished with 19 points while Spencer Dinwiddie had 11 points, six rebounds and six assists for the Buffaloes.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Colorado improved to 38-4 at home in coach Tad Boyle's two-plus seasons, including 6-0 this season. ... The Buffaloes begin their Pac-12 Conference schedule Thursday at No. 4 Arizona. ... Hartford freshman F Nate Sikma, the son of seven-time NBA All-Star Jack Sikma, had six points and five assists.
