Wisconsin 74, Milwaukee 53: Ryan Evans recorded a season-high 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds as the Badgers pulled away from the visiting Panthers.

Sophomore point guard Traevon Jackson contributed a career-high 13 points for the Badgers (8-4), who have beaten state-rival Milwaukee in 29 of 30 meetings. Jared Berggren added 11 points and Evans also dished out four assists.

Milwaukee managed a 10-8 lead early on before the Badgers ran off 14 straight points to take charge. Evans had 11 points in the opening 20 minutes as Wisconsin held the Panthers to three points the last 7:30 to build a 41-18 halftime advantage.

Paris Gulley led the way with 16 points for Milwaukee (3-10), which has dropped four straight and nine of 10. J.J. Panoske added 13 points for the Panthers, who pulled within 16 with 5:40 remaining in the contest.

Wisconsin, which averages less than 10 turnovers, had just eight against the Panthers and was 7-of-14 from 3-point range. The Badgers have held 15 straight visiting opponents to under 60 points.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Mike Bruesewitz returned to the lineup for Wisconsin after missing the last two games with a concussion, producing eight points and five rebounds. … Milwaukee shot 44 percent from the field after finishing under 33 percent in its last three games. … Wisconsin hosts Samford on Dec. 29 before opening up Big Ten play against visiting Penn State on Jan. 3.
