Erick Green converted a game-winning layup with 21 seconds left in overtime to propel the Hokies to a victory over the Braves in the third round of the Continental Tire Las Vegas Classic.

After Walt Lemon Jr.'s layup with nine seconds left forced overtime, Green scored five straight points as Virginia Tech (9-2) rallied back from a 65-60 deficit with 40 seconds left in OT to advance to face Colorado State on Sunday night.

Green finished with a career-high 31 points and eight rebounds, Cadarian Raines chipped in 16 and nine and Jarell Eddie scored 12 for the Hokies, while Dyricus Simms-Edwards led Bradley (8-3) with 15.

Back-to-back 3-pointers from Jalen Crawford and Will Egolf gave Bradley a 23-10 lead 10:07 into regulation before it took a 35-25 advantage into halftime. Three-pointers from Green and Eddie keyed an 8-0 Virginia Tech run as the Hokies cut the deficit to 46-43 with 10:13 left.

Two Christian Beyer free throws tied the score at 51 before Lemon stole the ball from Green and re-tied the score at 55 with nine seconds left in regulation. Green logged a three-point play and a layup to bring the Hokies back in OT.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Green (24.8 points per game) entered the game ranked first in the ACC and second in the nation in scoring. ... Tyshon Pickett scored 10 points for Bradley. ... The Hokies scored well under their season average. They entered the game averaging 81.3 points per game, 12th in the nation.
