South Florida 87, Bowling Green 84 (3 OT): Victor Rudd scored a season-high 29 points, including the last five of the third overtime, as the Bulls outlasted the visiting Falcons.

Rudd’s three-point play gave South Florida (7-3) an 85-84 lead with 14 seconds left in the third extra period before Bowling Green’s A’uston Calhoun missed a 3-pointer. Rudd sealed it with a pair of free throws in the final seconds as the Bulls won for the fifth time in six games.

Martino Brock added a season-high 18 points and Toarlyn Fitzpatrick had 16 for South Florida. Jordon Crawford had a career-high 27 points and Calhoun 22 for Bowling Green (5-6), which made 11 from 3-point range.

The Bulls led 71-67 in the first overtime, but missed two consecutive front ends of one-and-ones and Crawford scored two baskets to tie it. Crawford missed a chance to win it in the final seconds of the second overtime after Rudd had drained a 3-pointer with 28 seconds left to tie it at 78.

Bowling Green, which trailed 34-27 at halftime, came from 11 points down in the second half to take a 60-53 lead on Crawford’s 3-pointer with 1:04 left in regulation. The Bulls rallied to tie it at 61 after Rudd drained a 3-pointer with 4 seconds left.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The game was delayed when the lights went out with 21 seconds left in the first overtime. … Bowling Green’s bench, which produced 21 points to South Florida’s 13, has outscored its opponent in eight straight games. … South Florida was without its second-leading 3-point shooter Shaun Noriega (foot) and freshman Javontae Hawkins (back) because of injuries.
