North Carolina State 88, Stanford 79: Lorenzo Brown tied his career high with 24 points to lead four players in double figures as the host Wolfpack rolled to their fourth consecutive victory.

Richard Howell had 17 points and 12 rebounds and Scott Wood scored 15 of his 17 points in the first half for North Carolina State (8-2), which led by five at halftime and extended its lead to 17 with 10:29 remaining.

Dwight Powell paced Stanford (7-4) with 23 points and eight rebounds before fouling out with 44 seconds left, and Aaron Bright scored 16 points while shooting 4-of-7 from 3-point range.

The Wolfpack, who entered the game leading the nation in shooting at 52.7 percent, shot 56.1 percent against the Cardinal. C.J. Leslie contributed 16 points and Wood was 5-of-10 from beyond the arc.

Josh Huestis added 10 points and eight boards for Stanford, which trailed throughout the contest. Stanford made four of its six free throws, while North Carolina State was 19-of-27 from the line.
