No. 1 Indiana 100, Central Connecticut State 69:
Preseason National Player of the Year Cody Zeller scored 19 points and grabbed a career-high 19 rebounds for the seventh double-double of his career to lead the host Hoosiers.

Junior guard Victor Oladipo added 15 points, nine rebounds and a career-high five steals for Indiana (9-0), which used a 23-2 run midway through the first half to break the game open. The spurt was punctuated by an end-to-end drive and power dunk by Oladipo over forward Terrell Allen that brought the Assembly Hall crowd to its feet and increased Indiana's lead to 39-18.

Junior guard Matt Hunter had a career-high 40 points, including 6-of-11 3-pointers, for Central Connecticut State (4-4), which didn't start a player taller than 6-6 and was outrebounded, 52-25, by the Hoosiers.

Oladipo also played strong defense on Blue Devil guard Kyle Vinales, who entered the game as the nation's top scorer with a 25.9 average. Vinales finished with seven points on 3-of-15 shooting.

Senior forward Christian Watford, making his 103rd start for the Hoosiers, finished with a team-high 21 points while forward Will Sheehey added 12 points and six rebounds.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Indiana came into the game leading the nation in scoring (87.8) and point differential (plus 31.8). ... Hoosier sophomore F Austin Etherington had to be taken off the court on a stretcher with an a left knee injury after a collision under the basket with Allen. ... Central Connecticut State, which came into the game leading the nation in free throw shooting at 83.6 percent, went 13-of-16 from the line (81.3).
