No. 5 Florida 72, Florida State 47: Kenny Boynton scored 14 points and grabbed four rebounds as the visiting Gators tallied 32 points off 22 turnovers to rout the Seminoles.

Mike Rosario added 14 points for Florida in a game in which it never trailed. The Gators (7-0) traded baskets with their host off the opening tip before an early 10-0 run made it 12-2 and set the tone for what was a one-sided affair throughout.

The Seminoles (4-4) lost their third straight game, shooting just 25 percent from the field in the first half and 34.8 percent for the game. After being held to seven points against Mercer last time out, Florida State leading scorer Michael Snaer notched just 10 against Florida. Snaer, who came into the game averaging 14.1 points, did not score his first points until connecting on a jumper with 12:34 to play and has attempted just 14 field goals in the last two outings.

The Gators, who had held opponents to an SEC-low 48.5 points per game coming in, improved slightly upon that number by giving the Seminoles the dubious distinction of their lowest point total ever at the Donald L. Tucker Center. Florida State's previous low in their home building was a 48-point showing against North Carolina in 2002.

Michael Frazier II added 12 points, all in the second half, and Patric Young contributed 10 points and pulled down a game-high eight boards for Florida, which outrebounded the Seminoles 33-26.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Florida improved to 42-22 all-time against Florida State with its fourth straight win in the series. ... After a 15-2 home record a year ago, the Seminoles are 2-4 on home court this season. ... The Gators are 7-0 for the fifth time in program history and the third time under coach Billy Donovan, who improved to 11-6 all-time against FSU.
