No. 1 Indiana 87, Coppin State 51:
Victor Oladipo and Will Sheehey scored 14 points apiece as the Hoosiers remained unbeaten with a convincing win over the visiting Eagles.

Oladipo added six rebounds and six assists for Indiana (8-0), which led 33-19 after going on a 26-8 run in the closing 11:10 of the first half. Remy Abell and Christian Watford added 10 points each.

Taariq Cephas paced Coppin State (1-6) with 13 points. Michael Murray had nine points and 12 rebounds for the Eagles, who shot 33.9 percent and made just 5-of-23 from beyond the arc. Coppin State is 8-for-50 (16 percent) from 3-point range in its last two games.

The Hoosiers won despite minimal production from their top two scorers, Cody Zeller and Jordan Hulls, who combined for 15 points. Zeller's lone highlight came when he finished off a baseline drive with a dunk to put Indiana ahead 63-36 with 7:58 to play.

Indiana held a 37-29 rebounding edge against Coppin State, which was picked to finish 10th in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference preseason poll. The Hoosiers shot 51.7 percent from the field and were 17-for-20 (85 percent) from the foul line.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Hulls has made at least one 3-pointer in each of the Hoosiers’ first eight games. … Coppin State fell to 0-25 all-time against Big Ten opponents. ... Indiana had starters Zeller, Watford, Hulls and Yogi Ferrell in the game with a 32-point lead and 4:07 remaining.
