Joe Harris collected a game-high 22 points, five rebounds and five assists and Darion Atkins added a career-high 14 points to go with seven rebounds to help the visiting Cavaliers knock off the Badgers in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

Akil Mitchell added 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Cavaliers (5-2), who have won four straight since an upset loss to Delaware. Virginia went 14-for-17 from the foul line, while Wisconsin was just 2-for-2.

Ben Brust scored 15 points and Jared Berggren added 12 to lead Wisconsin (4-3), which lost for just the second time in its past 28 home games against non-conference opponents.

The Badgers opened up a 36-31 lead on back-to-back 3-pointers from Sam Dekker and Ben Brust with 12:32 left, but Virginia responded with a 12-2 run and led the rest of the way.

The Cavaliers were tough on the boards, holding a 36-25 edge over the Badgers and allowing just seven offensive rebounds. Wisconsin entered the game averaging 14.3 offensive boards and had collected at least 10 in each of its first six games.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Point guard Jontel Evans returned to action for Virginia after playing just three minutes in one game so far this season while recovering from right foot surgery. Evans went 0-for-2 from the field and grabbed four rebounds in limited action. … Virginia announced earlier in the day that G Malcolm Brogdon (foot) will take a medical redshirt this season. … The Badgers lost for just the second time in their past eight games against ACC opponents and fell to 6-8 in the event.
