No. 19 Colorado 85, Texas Southern 80 (2OT): Spencer Dinwiddie scored a career-high 24 points and Josh Scott added 18 points and 12 rebounds as the host Buffaloes overcame a superb effort by Omar Strong to remain unbeaten.

Strong scored a career-high 39 points on 13-for-28 shooting and made nine 3-pointers for Texas Southern (1-6), which forced overtime when Fred Sturdivant’s layup tied the score at 59-59 with 43 seconds to play. The Tigers’ Lawrence Johnson-Danner forced double overtime when he drilled a 3-pointer with 10 seconds left in the first extra period.

Andre Roberson had 11 points and 12 boards for Colorado (6-0), which trailed by 10 at halftime before opening the second half on a 16-3 run. Askia Booker scored 15 points, including a 3-pointer that put the Buffaloes ahead 71-68 with 42 seconds left in the first overtime.

Scott scored the first five points in double overtime for the Buffaloes, who improved to 6-0 for the first time since the 1989-90 season. Colorado shot 75 percent (33-for-44) from the free throw line, while Texas Southern made 12 of its 20 shots (60 percent).

Strong hit five 3-pointers in the first half and finished 9-for-21 from beyond the arc. Sturdivant added 12 points for the Tigers, who lost to the Buffaloes 56-51 last December. Strong scored nine of the Tigers’ 12 points in the first overtime.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Dinwiddie was 3-for-12 from the field and 15-for-17 from the foul line. …Roberson, who fouled out with 90 seconds left in regulation, collected his second straight double-double and the 27th of his career. … The game was Colorado’s first double-overtime contest since beating Baylor 91-84 in 2008.
