Travis Releford scored 17 points and freshman standout Ben McLemore added 11 as the Jayhawks crushed the Cougars in the semifinals of the CBE Hall of Fame Classic in Kansas City.

Perry Ellis chipped in 12 points off the bench to help Kansas (3-1) advance to the title game against Saint Louis, scheduled for Tuesday night at the Sprint Center.

Brock Motum led Washington State (2-2) with 14 points and seven rebounds. The Cougars shot 31.5 percent (17-for-54) from the field and were never in it after the Jayhawks came out on fire.

McLemore hit his first 3-pointer only 14 seconds in and nailed another moments later to make it 10-2. He had four points in a 7-0 burst that made it 28-9 midway through the first half, which Kansas ended with a 14-0 run to carry a 50-21 lead into the locker room.

The Cougars missed their final 10 shots before the break and had a scoreless streak of over 10 minutes before Motum's 3-pointer cut his team's deficit to 52-24 with 16:41 left. The Jayhawks took their largest lead at 75-31 with 5:56 remaining.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Kansas starters were 13-for-18 from the floor in the first half. ... Jayhawks center Jeff Withey had five blocked shots and has recorded 11 in his last two games. ... Evan Manning, son of Kansas legend Danny Manning, made his collegiate debut for the Jayhawks. He had two rebounds and missed his only shot from the field - a 3-point attempt.
