No. 1 Kentucky 102, No. 4 Indiana 90: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist scored 24 points as the Wildcats held off the Hoosiers in the South Regional semifinals at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.

Top-seeded Kentucky (35-2) advances to the regional final on Sunday against third-seeded Baylor. A victory there would send the Wildcats to the Final Four for the 15th time.

Kentucky opened up a tight contest with an 11-4 second-half run, turning a 68-62 lead into a 79-66 advantage on Anthony Davis’ tip-in with 8:54 remaining.

The Hoosiers (27-9) battled back, pulling within 82-77 on Cody Zeller’s tip-in with 5:14 to go.

But the Wildcats scored eight of the next 10 points, taking a 90-79 lead on Marquis Teague’s two free throws with 2:16 left. Kentucky finished 35 of 37 from the free-throw line.

Doron Lamb added 21 points as five Wildcats scored in double figures. Davis finished with 12 rebounds and Gilchrist added 10.

The Hoosiers, ninth in the nation in field-goal percentage, shot 58.1 percent in the first half and overcame a nine-point deficit to lead 43-39 late in the half. But Kentucky closed with an 11-4 run to lead 50-47 at halftime.

Christian Watford scored a season-high 27 points to lead Indiana, which reached the Sweet 16 for the first time since playing for the national championship in 2002. Zeller added 20 points.

Kentucky avenged its only regular-season loss, a 73-72 defeat at Indiana on Dec. 10. The Wildcats scored their most points since posting 108 in a season-opening victory over Marist on Nov. 11.
