Xavier 67, Notre Dame 63: Tu Holloway scored 25 points, including a running bank shot with 21.3 seconds left, to lift the Musketeers to a thrilling victory in the second round of the NCAA tournament.

Tenth-seeded Xavier (22-12) will face No. 15 seed Lehigh, a surprise winner over No. 2 Duke, in Sunday's third round of the South Regional.

Jerian Grant's 3-pointer with 1:01 remaining put the Fighting Irish (22-12) in front by three, but after a layup by Xavier's Mark Lyons cut the deficit to one, Notre Dame's Eric Atkins threw the ball away, setting the stage for Holloway's heroics.

Atkins had a chance to tie the game with a pair of free throws in the final seconds, but Grant was called for a lane violation on the first foul shot.

Holloway scored 17 points in the second half for the Musketeers, who trailed by 10 with 12:20 left before scoring nine consecutive points to get back within range.

Xavier was 18 of 27 from the foul line, while the Fighting Irish were only 4 for 9.

Dezmine Wells added 14 points and 11 rebounds for Xavier while Notre Dame was led by Jack Cooley, who scored 18 points on 8-for-8 shooting.
