Vanderbilt 65, Ole Miss 53: John Jenkins drained five 3-pointers and scored 23 points to lead the Commodores into the final of the SEC tournament.

Vanderbilt (23-10) will meet No. 1 Kentucky in the championship game.

Jenkins sparked a run that put the Commodores up by nine with 8:57 remaining. The senior guard picked up the slack on a night when Vanderbilt shot only 39.7 percent against a tough Ole Miss defense. Brad Tinsley scored 12 and Lance Goulbourne added 10, but Jeffery Taylor scored only two points and Festus Ezeli went scoreless.

Ole Miss (20-13) got 15 points from Jarvis Summers and 13 points from Ladarius White. Murphy Holloway had 10 rebounds, but was limited to six points.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The loss probably takes Ole Miss out of the NCAA equation. The Rebels likely needed to win the tournament in order to secure a bid … The Rebels were respectable from the line, making 16 of 23 (69.6 percent). . . . Vanderbilt outrebounded the Rebels 32-26. Goulbourne had a game-high 12 rebounds.
