NO. 24 INDIANA 69, MINNESOTA 50: Victor Oladipo had 12 points and eight rebounds as Indiana snapped a three-game road losing streak in its series with Minnesota.

Jordan Hulls finished with 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting and Christian Watford added 12 points and six rebounds for the Hoosiers (22-7, 9-7 Big Ten), who led 37-26 at halftime despite 10 first-half turnovers.

Indiana extended its lead to 20 points midway through the second half after Verdell Jones III’s layup with 10:09 remaining capped off a 17-8 run.

Jones finished with 11 points and seven rebounds for the Hoosiers, who moved into a tie for fifth place with Purdue and a half-game behind Wisconsin in the Big Ten standings.

If Indiana wins out and the Badgers lose two of their final three games, the Hoosiers will receive a first-round bye in the conference tournament, awarded to the top four teams in the regular-season standings.

Minnesota (17-12, 5-11 Big Ten), meanwhile, lost its fourth straight home game and fifth straight overall. Four of the Gophers’ losses during their skid have come against ranked opponents.

Austin Hollins had a game-high 14 points on 4-of-8 shooting for Minnesota, which shot 31 percent and made just 7-of-14 free throw attempts.

The Gophers, who finished with 16 turnovers, dropped to 10th place in the Big Ten, a half-game behind Illinois.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Minnesota fell to 1-6 against ranked opponents this season … Indiana picked up its ninth conference victory, which is one more than it had from 2009-11 combined … The Gophers lost for just the third time in nine games in the series … Minnesota went scoreless for nearly five minutes on two separate occasions, once in each half.
