COLORADO 70, CALIFORNIA 57:
Austin Dufault and Spencer Dinwiddie scored 15 points apiece as the host Buffaloes ended the Golden Bears’ six-game winning streak.

Andre Roberson grabbed 14 rebounds and Nate Tomlinson scored 11 points for Colorado (19-9, 11-5 Pac-12), which remains in contention for a first-round bye in the Pac-12 tournament.

Allen Crabbe scored 16 points, Justin Cobbs tallied 15 and Harper Kamp added 13 for California (23-7, 13-4), which dropped into second place, a half-game behind Washington.

The Buffaloes came out strong in a bid to rebound from a demoralizing 24-point home drubbing by Stanford on Thursday. Colorado trailed just once and held the Golden Bears to 38 percent shooting.

Colorado led 49-38 after a 3-pointer by Askia Booker with 11:08 remaining and then held off a California charge.

Cobbs scored on an acrobatic scoop shot to bring the Golden Bears within 56-51 with 6:50 remaining before Colorado went on an 11-2 run.

Colorado led by as many as 10 in the first half with California’s only lead coming at 12-11 on Crabbe’s jumper with 8:43 left. The Buffaloes led 32-25 at halftime.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Roberson has 22 double-digit rebounding games … Golden Bears point guard Jorge Gutierrez was scoreless and missed all seven of his field-goal attempts … Dufault, a four-year starter playing in his final home game, notched his 47th career double-digit scoring outing … California also trailed by seven at halftime of the first meeting before overcoming the deficit for a 57-50 victory.
