SAN DIEGO STATE 67, WYOMING 58 (OT): Jamaal Franklin scored the first five points in overtime as the No. 25 Aztecs outscored the visiting Cowboys 12-3 in the extra period to snap a three-game losing streak.

Wyoming’s Luke Martinez forced overtime when he hit his first shot of the game with 30 seconds left, a 3-pointer that tied the game at 55.

The Cowboys (18-9, 4-7 Mountain West) went scoreless for the first 3:16 of overtime, and San Diego State (21-6, 7-4) was able to avoid losing four in a row for the first time since 2005.

Garrett Green had 14 points and Chase Tapley and Tim Shelton added 10 apiece for the Aztecs, who won their fifth straight game against Wyoming. The Aztecs outrebounded the Cowboys 30-24.

Arthur Bouedo scored 11 points and Adam Waddell added 10 for Wyoming, which lost its fourth straight game. The Cowboys have led at halftime in all four losses.

Franklin, who leads the Aztecs in scoring and rebounding, returned after missing Saturday’s game against Air Force with a sprained ankle and scored 12 points on 3-of-10 shooting.

GAME NOTEBOOK: San Diego State was 3 for 11 from beyond the arc, and the Aztecs are 9 for 41 (22 percent) from 3-point range in its last three games.… Wyoming is 5-8 in games decided by less than 10 points. ...
