CALIFORNIA 77, OREGON STATE 63: Jorge Gutierrez and David Kravish scored 17 points apiece to help the Golden Bears win their fifth straight game and remain tied for first place with Washington in the Pac-12.

Allen Crabbe scored 16 points, Harper Kamp tallied 13 points and Justin Cobbs had 10 points and a career-high 13 assists as California (22-6, 12-3) improved to 17-1 at home this season.

Devon Collier had 14 points and 11 rebounds and Roberto Nelson also scored 14 for Oregon State (15-12, 5-10).

The Beavers led 41-40 early in the second half before Kamp hit a basket to start a 19-6 run. Gutierrez scored the final five points to give the Golden Bears a 12-point lead with 9:32 remaining.

Oregon State pulled within 62-56 on Jared Cunningham’s 3-pointer with 5:26 to play but Cobbs scored on a dunk, Crabbe hit a 3-pointer and Bak Bak scored on a layup to boost Cal’s lead to 13 with 4:04 left.

The Golden Bears’ largest lead was 74-58 after Crabbe’s three-point play with 1:52 remaining.

Oregon State’s Angus Brandt had 11 points but Pac-12 scoring leader Cunningham scored only 10 on 4-of-12 shooting.

The Golden Bears jumped out to a quick 16-4 lead over the first nine minutes before Oregon State went on a 15-4 run to pull within 20-19 on Nelson’s 3-pointer with 6:52 left in the half. The Beavers led 34-32 at halftime.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Cobbs had 11 assists against Utah on Jan. 14 for his previous career best. … Oregon State guard Ahmad Starks had only two points after scoring 24 when the Beavers defeated California on Jan. 5. … Kamp played his 127th game, which ties for fourth most in Golden Bears history. … Collier’s double-double was his second of the season and third of his career.
