OREGON 78, WASHINGTON STATE 69: E.J. Singler scored 23 points and made four 3-pointers as the host Ducks finished off a season sweep of the Cougars and remained in contention for the Pac-12 title.

Devoe Joseph and Garrett Sim scored 16 points apiece for Oregon (18-7, 9-4 Pac-12), while Brock Motum scored 17 points to pace Washington State (13-12, 5-8).

Oregon shot 55.3 percent from the field and was 11 of 20 from 3-point range, and pulled away over the final six-plus minutes.

The score was tied before Sim and Joseph hit back-to-back 3-pointers to give the Ducks a 64-58 lead with 5 1/2 minutes to play.

The Cougars pulled within 67-64 on Mike Ladd’s layup with 3:14 remaining but Sim responded with his fourth 3-pointer and Carlos Emory scored on a tip-in with 1:37 left to get the lead up to eight points.

Emory had 12 points and eight rebounds for the Ducks, while Ladd scored 13 points and Reggie Moore had 12 points and six assists for Washington State.

Oregon shot 60.9 percent in the first half en route to a 36-33 lead.

Washington State led 24-18 midway through the half after back-to-back 3-pointers by Ladd and Motum before Oregon finished the half on an 18-9 spurt.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Motum fell three points shy of his fifth straight 20-point outing. … Oregon was 7 for 13 from 3-point range in the first half and then went nearly 14 minutes into the second half before knocking down another. … Singler’s season-high is 26 points against UCLA. … Washington State was 8 for 19 from 3-point range.
