MARQUETTE 89, DePAUL 76:
Darius Johnson-Odom scored a game-high 23 points and fueled a 25-5 run in the middle of the game as the No. 19 Marquette prevailed on the road at DePaul for its eighth win in nine games.

Trailing by as many as 12, the Golden Eagles (20-5, 9-3 Big East) closed the first half on an 11-2 run and then outscored the Blue Demons (11-12, 2-9) by a 14-3 margin at the beginning of the second to pull ahead, 56-46, with 13:31 remaining. Marquette made 14 of its first 21 shots after the break to seize control.

Johnson-Odom scored the last seven points of the first half while pacing five starters in double figures for the visitors. Jamil Wilson finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds in the win, while Jae Crowder also posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 boards. Marquette, playing without injured centers Chris Otule and Davante Gardner, dominated the glass in the second half after being outrebounded by a 22-12 margin in the first.

Cleveland Melvin led DePaul with 22 points, including seven during a 9-0 run that gave the Blue Demons their biggest lead at 37-25 with 5:57 left in the first half, but he was held to just five points after the intermission.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
DePaul forward Moses Morgan landed on his head after going up to block a Johnson-Odom shot during the first half. He suffered a concussion and returned to the bench in street clothes ... Marquette made 22 of 23 free throws ... The Golden Eagles return home to face Cincinnati on Saturday afternoon, while the Blue Demons will be at Notre Dame.
