Nate Tomlinson hit a free throw with one second remaining to lift Colorado to a 72-71 victory over visiting Oregon on Saturday.

Tomlinson drove to the hoop and Oregon’s E.J. Singler contested his shot and was called for the foul. Tomlinson hit the first three throw and purposefully missed the second as Colorado (16-7, 8-3 Pac-12) improved to 12-1 at home.

Oregon’s Olu Ashaolu scored a basket with 7.6 seconds left to tie the score but missed the ensuing free throw prior to the game-deciding sequence as the Ducks fell to 16-7, 7-4.

Colorado freshman guards Askia Booker and Spencer Dinwiddie scored 17 and 16 points, respectively, and Andre Roberson had 11 rebounds and a career-high seven blocks for Colorado.

Devoe Joseph had 18 points, Ashaolu scored 17 and Singler had 13 points and 13 rebounds for the Ducks.

Oregon led 58-53 on Jonathan Loyd’s three-point play with 7:09 left before the Buffaloes answered with a 14-6 run over the next five-plus minutes.

A three-point play by Dinwiddie gave Colorado a 65-64 lead with 2:49 remaining and Carlon Brown drove the length of the court for a layup 24 seconds later to give the Buffaloes a three-point lead.

Colorado’s lead reached four points before Loyd drained a 3 with 22.6 ticks left to pull the Ducks within 70-69.

Both teams led by as many as seven points in a first half that ended with Oregon holding a 37-33 lead.
