Will Spradling had a game-high 19 points and Angel Rodriguez added 13 as Kansas State used a big second half to defeat Texas A&M 64-53 Saturday at Bramlage Coliseum.

The outcome was all too familiar for SEC-bound Texas A&M. The Aggies (12-10, 3-7 Big 12), playing their final game at Bramlage for the foreseeable future, lost for the 10th straight time in Manhattan, Kan., including all eight since the Big 12’s inception in 1996.

Texas A&M started strong, taking a 25-24 lead after a sloppy first half. But the Wildcats (16-6, 5-5 Big 12) regained the lead at 35-34 on Rodney McGruder’s 3-pointer with 14:17 left. They then stretched it to seven after the Aggies went scoreless over a four-minute stretch.

Elston Turner had a team-high 18 points for the Aggies, who lost by a combined 44 points in its two previous trips to Bramlage. Naji Hibbert added 14 points and nine rebounds.

Kansas State led by as many as 17 in the second half against the Aggies, who committed 19 turnovers and lost for the third time in their last four games. Dash Harris and Khris Middleton, two of the Texas A&M's top five scorers, both missed their third straight game due to injury.

The win helped the Wildcats avoid a three-game losing streak, but more importantly, they improved to 5-5 in Big 12 play. Kansas State is alone in fifth place, a full game ahead of sixth-place Oklahoma State.

K-State shot 45 percent from the field and outrebounded Texas A&M 30-21, including an 8-3 advantage on the offensive boards.
