BOXSCORE | RECAP
Arkansas 82, Vanderbilt 74
When: 9:00 PM ET, Tuesday, January 31, 2012
Where: Bud Walton Arena, Fayetteville, Arkansas
Officials: # Mike Eades, # Jamie Luckie, # Mike Stuart
Attendance: 13678

Rickey Scott scored 18 points and Arkansas got double-digit point totals from five different players on the way to their 16th straight win at home, 82-74, over Vanderbilt.

Julysses Noble added 17 points for the Razorbacks (16-6, 4-3 SEC), who became the just the second Arkansas team to start 16-0 at Bud Walton Arena and became the third since 1985-86 to win as many as 16 games at home.

The usual suspects drove the offense for the Commodores (16-6, 5-2 SEC), as John Jenkins and Jeffery Taylor combined for 37 points. But the Razorbacks’ defense limited the amount of good looks for Vanderbilt’s dynamic duo. Jenkins and Taylor shot only 11 of 26 from the floor combined, though Jenkins, with 19 points, did extend his double-digit scoring streak to 55 straight games.

Arkansas led by as many as seven on two occasions in the first half before Vanderbilt went on a 16-7 run to take a 34-32 lead into the locker room.

The Razorbacks regained the lead for the first time in the second half at the 16:30 mark on a Scott layup and never looked back, outscoring the Commodores by 11 after the break and shooting over 55 percent in the final 20 minutes.

Arkansas is now 17-9 against Vanderbilt all-time and 10-2 at home.

The Razorbacks have a road tilt at LSU next on the docket, while the Commodores will host No. 11 Florida.
