Tony Wroten scored 21 points as Washington used a huge second-half surge to defeat visiting Stanford 76-63 on Saturday.

Terrence Ross added 18 points and Darnell Gant 17 as the Huskies (12-7, 5-2 Pac-12) handed the Cardinal (15-5, 5-3) their worst defeat of the season while giving coach Lorenzo Romar his 100th conference and 300th career win.

The Huskies saw their seven-point halftime lead cut to 34-31 on a jumper by Dwight Powell, but a 3-pointer by Ross ignited a 29-10 run over the next 8:57 as Washington got pretty much whatever it wanted.

During the pivotal run, Washington hit three 3-pointers and converted five layups, the latter of which contributed to a 50-36 advantage on points inside the paint.

Stanford – which shot only 35.9 percent, including a season-worst 3 of 19 behind the arc – could get no closer than 11 points the rest of the way.

The Huskies also turned their 10 offensive boards into a lopsided 21-8 edge in second-chance points.

Josh Owens and Aaron Bright each scored 14 points for Stanford, which fell to 1-3 on the road in conference play but has seven days off before it faces conference leader California on Jan. 29.
