Creighton never trailed and won its eighth straight game, defeating Indiana State 75-49.

Thirteen players scored for the 18th-ranked Bluejays, including nine players with at least five points.

Creighton (18-2, 8-1 Missouri Valley), which leads the nation in both field goal percentage and 3-point percentage, cooled off after a hot shooting first half. The Bluejays finished at 43.6 percent after making just 10-of-30 shots in the second half.

All-America Candidate Doug McDermott struggled from the field, but still picked up a double-double to lead Creighton with 12 points and 11 rebounds. It was the seventh double-double for McDermott, who leads the Missouri Valley in scoring and rebounding.

Gregory Echenique chipped in seven points and eight rebounds for Creighton, which outrebounded Indiana State 39-31.

Creighton led 42-25 at the break with five players scoring six points each. Creighton took control with a 10-0 run to open up a 29-15 lead.

The Bluejays hit 7-of-11 3-pointers in the first half, including two apiece from Josh Jones, Jahenns Manigat and Ethan Wragge. The Sycamores are last in the Valley in defending against the three, allowing opponents to hit 39.2 percent from beyond the arc. Indiana State made just 9-of-26 field goals in the opening period and 16-of-49 overall.

Creighton finished the game 11-of-24 from long range.
