Deividas Dulkys had a career-high 32 points on 12-of-14 shooting, including 8-of-10 from 3-point range, and Florida State defeated No. 3 North Carolina in dominant fashion, 90-57, in Tallahassee.

Dulkys set the tone quickly for the Seminoles (11-6, 2-1 ACC), scoring 16 first half points, including four 3-pointers, and leading FSU to a 36-28 halftime lead. The ‘Noles piled on from there, opening the second half with a 22-4 run and never looking back.

Harrison Barnes had 15 points for the Tar Heels (15-3, 2-1 ACC), who were left playing catchup from the start, thanks largely to 12 first half turnovers and an inability to keep up with FSU’s 3-point proficiency. The Tar Heels were 2-of-10 from 3-point range at halftime and 4-for-21 for the game. From the free throw line, things weren’t any easier, where John Henson shot 0-for-7 and UNC was 9-of-20 overall.

Okaro White posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds and Michael Snaer added 17 points for the Seminoles, who improved to 9-1 at home, and their elite defense came to play yet again. North Carolina’s 37.3 percent showing from the field marked the 115th time in 117 games that Florida State has held an opponent to under 50 percent and the 57-point total was the lowest output of the season for the high-powered UNC offense.

Florida State’s win was its first over a ranked opponent in five tries this season and its first on home court over the Tar Heels since January 22, 2004.
