The Gators (13-4, 1-1) shook off Saturday’s loss at Tennessee with a strong first half and won their 14th consecutive game in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center and improved to 9-0 on their home floor this season.

Trailing 7-0 early, Georgia (9-7, 0-2) pulled within 11-9 on Nemanja Djurisic’s layup with 11:25 to go. The Gators took off from there, with Mike Rosario’s three-point play starting a 22-4 spurt.

The matchup featured two of the top impact freshmen in the conference in Beal and Georgia leading scorer Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. Beal finished 4-for-6 from 3-point range. Patric Young added eight points and 10 rebounds.

Caldwell-Pope shot just 3-for-14, finishing with eight points. Djurisic led the Bulldogs with 14 points. Georgia shot a dreadful 1-for-9 from the free-throw line.
