Chasson Randle scored Stanford’s first seven points in the fourth overtime and the visiting Cardinal outlasted Oregon State 103-101 for a rare Pac-12 road victory on Saturday.

Randle had a game-high 24 points and six players scored in double figures for both teams. Josh Huestis’ free throw with 3.8 seconds left in the fourth extra session secured the win for Stanford (13-3, 3-1 Pac-12).

Roberto Nelson and Jared Cunningham scored 19 points apiece and Joe Burton added 18 for Oregon State (11-5, 1-3 Pac-12), which tied a school record by scoring more than 100 points for the third time this season.

Josh Owens had 16 points and 11 rebounds for Stanford, which won only its seventh conference road game in 29 tries dating back to the 2008-09 season. Aaron Bright added 18 points, including four 3-pointers.

Stanford’s Anthony Brown was only 3-of-14 shooting, but his 3-pointer with seven seconds left in the third overtime forced the final extra period.

Oregon State, which shot a season-high 63.3 percent in a win over California on Thursday, shot 58.1 percent in the first half against Stanford before finishing at 43 percent for the game.

After allowing 70 points only once in its first 14 games, Stanford’s defense faltered during its Oregon trip, when both Oregon and Oregon State scored at least 78 points.
